Frequently Asked Questions

" Just a quick note of eternal gratitude for officiating our wedding. Also for the help at the rehearsal. You were truly a calming force and peace and tranquility. It was a true blessing to have you marry the two of us." T E.

Where do you perform wedding ceremonies?
At your chosen location. It could be indoors or outdoors, at a chapel, church, private residence, country club, community center, hotel, garden or park, golf course or winery. We are happy to recommend locations that fit your plans.

How far do you travel to perform wedding ceremonies?
Within the Greater Sacramento area and surrounding areas as far west as Vallejo/Napa, as far east as Lake Tahoe, as far south as Stockton and as far north as Grass Valley/Yuba City.

How much do you charge?
Instead of having set fees, we work out an agreed-upon donation with you.  You determine the package that’s right for you and your budget and that will suit your needs. Ceremony services can vary greatly from couple to couple.  Your minister will gain an understanding of what you want and help come to an agreement that works for all concerned.

How do we get a marriage license?
By contacting the County Clerk-Recorder’s Office and making an appointment or going to their office. An appointment is recommended. See our Links page for County Clerk-Recorder’s Offices and marriage license information.

Do you require pre-marital counseling?
This is not a requirement but is available upon request. Through an in-depth personal interview, we help identify the promises that you would make to keep your marriage alive and strong.

How long does the ceremony last?
Between 15 and 30 minutes is the usual length though it could be shorter or longer.

Where do we meet the minister for a free consultation?
At a place that is convenient for all of us. It is usually at your home or the wedding location or other agreed upon place.

What happens at a free consultation?
You have the opportunity to meet the minister, view our sample ceremony and photo collection and get any questions answered about our wedding ceremonies. We find out  what you want and don’t want for your ceremony. Then we show you a sample that might go with your idea of the ceremony. You can also view bride and groom surveys of other weddings we’ve performed. There is no obligation to sign-up.

Do you require a deposit to reserve our wedding date and time?
Yes, the deposit is agreed upon on an individual basis.
